GetResponse Founders Establish “GetResponse Cares” with the Pomeranian Hospice for Children.

The foundation will support diagnostics and therapy for children with cancer

Gdansk, April 1, 2016 – Aleksandra and Simon Grabowski have signed a foundation act to initiate GetResponse Cares, a joint project with the Pomeranian Hospice for Children in Gdansk.

The purpose of the foundation is to support worldwide research and development in diagnostics, treatment, and medical care for children with cancer and related conditions.

The founders believe that the investments in oncology and hematology will help make cancer diagnostics and therapy more effective.

“When we learned that our son had a form of childhood cancer, our life changed dramatically,” said Simon Grabowski, CEO of GetResponse. “But dealing with this difficult experience made us stronger. It also inspired the need in us to support other children suffering from cancer as well as doctors who are doing incredible things to help kids fight the deadly disease. I believe that together we have the power to build a safer future for our children.”

According to the World Health Organization, the number of cancer patients will increase by 70% within the next two decades. For this reason, the GetResponse Cares foundation, in collaboration with Dr. Maciej Niedzwiecki and Malgorzata Balkowska of the Pomeranian Hospice for Children, endorses and supports various diagnostic, preventive, therapeutic, and educational programs for the development of cancer treatments.

  • Support research and development in cancer diagnostics and treatment
  • Improve oncological, hematological, and palliative care protocols
  • Advocate for research and clinical testing and development in cancer treatment and supportive therapies
  • Expand clinical centers and provide medical equipment to hematology and oncology units
  • Provide rehabilitative and preventive support, including the promotion of physical activity
  • Educate the public about the nature of cancer diseases, early detection, treatment methods, and patient care

The organization also plans to support and fund research conferences and scholarship programs for specialists. It plans to set up a scientific library and support the publishing of training materials in the fields of oncology and hematology.

The GetResponse Cares foundation is managed by a board consisting of two people, namely its president Marta Zabłocka - Peterson and board member Dr. Maciej Niedzwiecki. The controlling body is the Foundation Council.
